Maximizing Your Counseling Degree to Diversify Your Income
Counselor educators in Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP)-accredited counseling programs provide students with the knowledge and skills to become licensed professional counselors. However, minimal attention is given to helping graduate counseling students understand how to maximize their counseling degree. Academic demands, including time constraints, gatekeeping, and overall program management, may contribute to the lack of attention given to this content. Professional development opportunities may provide insight for counselors who seek to supplement and/or change their primary income. During this webinar, the presenter will communicate various job opportunities and methods for diversifying the income of master’s- and doctoral-level counselors.
After this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Recognize the various job opportunities related to their counseling degree.
- Gain insight into at least three ways to supplement their primary income.
- Identify how to communicate their knowledge and skills when seeking opportunities in related professions.
