Rodney Ho

PhD, MPAS, MPH, PA-C, Psychiatry-CAQ, NCC, LPC-Associate

Rodney Ho is a distinguished Psychiatric Physician Assistant (PA) and Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate (Texas) with over seven years of experience in the mental health field. Notably, he holds the distinction of being the first Psychiatric PA in the Department of Defense, where he spearheaded the development of the first Psychiatric PA Fellowship program and served as its inaugural Program Director. Dr. Ho's extensive academic achievements include a Master’s in Public Health, a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies, and a Master’s in Arts in Mental Health Counseling. He also earned a PhD in Health Sciences, with a dissertation focusing on mental health stigma among Air Force family health care providers. Dr. Ho is currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at National Louis University, reflecting his commitment to lifelong learning and education.

With over a decade of experience in higher education teaching, Dr. Ho has served in numerous leadership roles across both military and civilian contexts. His dynamic leadership and deep commitment to education have significantly influenced the fields of mental health and PA training. A staunch advocate for education and mental health awareness, Dr. Ho is dedicated to helping others achieve their educational and professional goals. His passion for improving mental health treatment and reducing stigma in the healthcare community drives his ongoing research and educational endeavors.
